About
Landscape Concepts
Owner,
Pat Ross, graduated from Southern Illinois University
in Carbondale in 1977 with a Bachelor of Science
degree in Plant & Soil Science with an emphasis in
Ornamental Horticulture.
In
1983 she started Landscape Concepts as a horticultural
consulting and landscape design company. The
company grew with a strong customer base in shopping
centers, office space, and other commercial property.
Looking
to further the company's creative opportunities, she
shifted its emphasis toward residential design in the
early 1990s. Each site is unique and customers
have their individual preferences. This allowed
us to work with our customers on a more immediate and
personal level.
The
business saw another change in the early 2000s when it
added hardscape and landscape construction to its list
of services. The construction component allows
us the opportunity to ensure conformity to our design
concepts and specifications.
Production
manager, Jon Lanaghan, has a Bachelor of Science
degree in Horticulture and 25 years experience in the
industry. Jon brings the construction element of
the project together. He coordinates the
implementation and scheduling of labor, equipment, and
materials that are needed to bring the project to
completion.
Design
alone can be intimidating for people, and then plant
selection can be overwhelming. We find it
extremely satisfying to help our clients develop their
ideas into an end product that is both functional and
beautiful. Our goal is to provide our customers
with the best possible quality, service, and
individual attention in developing their exterior
spaces.
